If you're a backsliding Gears of War 3 multiplayer fan, now might be a good time to get back in the game, as Epic has announced that in honor of the upcoming fourth of July, they're doling out double XP in the game's various modes.
There will be double XP for Versus, Beast and Horde mode. In addition to this, there will be a special "Top Wingman" playlist with alpha rules.
As an added bonus, they're participants can also select a custom event skin for each weapon.
Maverick – Lancer
Viper – Retro Lancer
Goose – Hammerburst
Iceman – Gnasher
Jester – Sawed off
One more thing to note before I forget, the double XP event is happening now! Yep, you can log in to Xbox LIVE now and gain double the amount of bro points for shooting each other up.
