Crystal Dynamics Working on Third-Person New IP for “Future Platforms”

June 22, 2012 by Alex Co

Crystal Dynamics is working on a new franchise for next-gen!

Crystal Dynamics, the studio behind the upcoming Tomb Raider reboot, is now working on a new Intellectual Property (IP) for the next generation of consoles.

This news has been outed by none other than the studio themselves, who had a job ad on their website that states they're looking for a Senior Engineer who will work on "cutting edge, original IP,”that will launch on “future platforms.” It also states that the game will be third-person action-adventure outing (much like Tomb Raider).

So, a new IP but it will also be a third-person affair with action-adventure elements? That really fits Tomb Raider's description — though, it can be said for almost any third-person game nowadays.

Hopefully, we'll know more about their project once Tomb Raider's released in March 5, 2013 for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.

What do you want to see from the studio that put Tomb Raider and Legacy of Kain on the map?
