With Steam's much anticipated summer sale around the corner, EA is now offering some surprising discounts on its own online download service, Origin. Contradicting the sentiment of Origin boss David DeMartini regarding sales, Origin is now offering up to 87.5% discounts on some of its games.
Today on Origin, some of the discounted games include Dragon Age: Origins (87.5% off launch price); Spore (75%), Darksiders (75%), NFS: Hot Pursuit (75%), Battlefield: Bad Company 2 (75%), Alice: Madness Returns (66%), Darkspore (66%), Dead Space 2 (50%), Shank (50%), Battlefield Bad Company 2 Vietnam (50%), Mirror’s Edge (50%), The Saboteur (50%), Gotham City Imposters (50%), Gatling Gears (50%), and Batman: Arkham Asylum (50%).
That's quite a few intellectual properties being cheapened in a single day, also I'm not sure how many PC gamers would be willing to capitalize on these offers with the Steam Summer Sale only a few days away. I'm sure; PC gamers are enjoying the extra attention from both services.
