A earnings report issued by EA has confirmed that Need for Speed Shift 2 is currently in development and the game is set to release on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC between January and end of March in 2011.
The game will be a sequel to NFS: Shift which scored mostly positive reviews from critics. Hopefully the upcoming game improves on its predecessor and offers a much larger variety of cars.
NFS: World, a racing MMO was released a week earlier and Need for Speed: Hot currently in development at Criterion games will be releasing later this year.
