Pokemon Go Plus Watches Hitting Store Shelves This Month

September 8, 2016 by Dennis Patrick

Pokemon Go Plus heading to select markets by next week.

When Pokemon Go first released into the market, it was quickly downloaded by practically everyone, young to old. The game caused a resurgence of gamers once again interested in catching every available Pokemon in order to become a Pokemon Master.

It became clear that Pokemon Go was causing some serious accidents and injuries. Instead of some gamers paying attention to their surroundings, eyes were glued to their handset displays on the hunt for a missing Pokemon to their collection.

One of the devices that would likely help keep gamers from staring at their smartphones and paying a bit more attention is the Pokemon Go Plus. This device straps to your wrist and connects to your smartphone application via Bluetooth.

With the device connected, if a Pokemon or item is nearby the strap will vibrate where gamers can react to catching the Pokemon or collecting an item by tapping the single button. The announcement of this device indicated that gamers could pick up the Pokemon Go Plus in July, but it was quickly delayed.

During the peak of Pokemon Go, pre-orders were quickly being flipped on eBay where the originally marked $34.99 were selling for north of $100 apiece. Since the game has been out for a short while now and some of the initial hype has died down, it will be interesting to see just how many gamers pick up the Pokemon Go Plus.

Currently, through the Pokemon Go official website gamers can pick up Pokemon Go Plus in select regions starting on September 16, 2016, for the original $34.99 price tag.
