Mass Effect fans have been asking EA to remaster the franchise’s trilogy ever since the PS4 and Xbox One launched, however, EA’s COO Peter Moore was recently featured in an interview with IGN, and he kind of eliminated the possibility of seeing a trilogy remaster anytime soon.
Moore commented on the heavy demand for a trilogy remaster, even though there is “a little thing called Mass Effect Andromeda” releasing next year. He continued to say that there is no development team over at EA that are just “lying around that are doing nothing right now,” with everyone working on a new title, whether it’s FIFA 17, Mass Effect Andromeda or another title.
Could we make an easy buck on remastering Mass Effect? Yes. Have a thousand people asked me that? Yes, they have. Do we have… No.”
We just feel like we want to go forward. There’s a little thing called Mass Effect Andromeda that we’re totally focused on at BioWare, and it’s going to be magnificent.
Mass Effect Andromeda releases sometime next year for PS4, Xbox One and PC. What do you think of Moore’s statement?
