Another one of the reveals from today’s Nintendo Direct livestream was the reveal of Mario Sports Superstars. It’s a compilation of different athletic competitions starring the cast of all the Mario characters. See what it’s all about in the announcement trailer they put out about it.
The sports included in this game are Football (Soccer), Baseball, Tennis, Golf, and Horse Racing. Many of these activities have had appearances in past Mario sports titles, so it’s interesting to see them all in one package here. The announcement promises that the games won’t be watered down in this release, and that we can expect a fleshed out set of features for all the sports on offer. They’ll all have a singleplayer tournament mode, but on top of that there’s local and online multiplayer as well.
Mario Sports Superstars is coming to Nintendo 3DS in Spring 2017.
