Thanks to a press release that was sent out to use earlier today, we got word of the latest pre-alpha testing for Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds. According to the press release, the pre-alpha was successful, with over six hundred players giving feedback, after only four months of game development.
If you’re unaware of Playerunknown’s Battleground, this is a battle royale-style first-person shooter, where players will go against one another in a zombie sandbox world. The game is being put out by Bluehole, developers of TERA along with Playerunknown, the creative minds behind the Battle Royale game modes from ARMA 3 and H1Z1: King of the Kill.
The game is currently in development for the PC platform and will be using Unreal Engine 4. Overall, the game will include up to sixty-four players on a remote island where they will locate a variety of weapons, vehicles, and supplies.
Unfortunately, there’s no release date in mind quite yet for the video game, however, in the meantime, check out the latest screenshots from the pre-alpha play test. Likewise, you can expect to hear regular updates from the developers as they take an open development philosophy for the game. Ultimately, that will mean you’ll know just how the game will shape up during its development progress.
