Bethesda Believes The Evil Within and Rage Sold Well Enough to Deserve Sequels

Bethesda published two games a couple of years ago, specifically RAGE and the survival-horror game The Evil Within. The games launched in 2011 and 2014 respectively, and since then, there hasn’t been any news regarding the possibility of seeing a sequel for any of them.

Bethesda’s Pete Hines spoke with Finder while he was present at QuakeCon 2016, and even though he didn’t deny or confirm the development of a sequel for RAGE or The Evil Within, he said that the possibility is present and both of them “did well enough that we could make sequels.”

I won’t confirm or deny stuff we may or may not do, as people jump to the wrong conclusions. But I do think both The Evil Within and Rage did well enough that we could make sequels. Personally I loved Rage and had a tonne of fun playing it, but we have a lot of stuff in the pipeline right now so you will have to wait and see.

Even though both of them didn’t do that well critically, that might change if Bethesda decides to finally develop a sequel for either of them.
