Although season 2 is yet to be confirmed, the developers are aiming for three seasons.

According to a tweet by the official Hitman Twitter account,

“Of course, our plan is to have three seasons. Although Season Two hasn’t been confirmed yet.” Plans for a third season seem to have been confirmed.

IO-Interactive revealed that they wanted an episodic format for the series. “The structure was inspired by contemporary TV series’ and will unfold over multiple seasons. To begin with, the overall story and the individual mission stories run in parallel but as the first season progresses, the tracks will merge and become one.” They wrote on the PlayStation blog.

Hitman‘s first season runs over seven episodes and episode four‘s release date and location have just been officially confirmed. Players will travel to Thailand on August 16th according to the official announcement.

The episodic format lasting three seasons is sure to include some fascinating content and missions.
