Telltale Games’ The Walking Dead Sells One Million Episodes in Just Two Weeks

May 17, 2012 by Alex Co

Telltale Games’ The Walking Dead has already managed to move over one million episodes in just two weeks!

Who says the zombie genre has run its course? That certainly doesn't seem to be the case as Telltale Games' The Walking Dead has already managed to sell over one million episodes across all paltforms in just two short weeks.

This news was shared by Telltale Games themselves, who also added that The Walking Dead is their fastest-selling game to date; and that the game held the top spot as the best-selling title on Xbox LIVE Arcade for two straight weeks. It also managed to secure a top spot during its launch week on Steam and on the PlayStation Network.

If you haven't picked the game up yet, you might be surprised that it's not based on the TV series but on the original source (Robert Kirkman's books). The first episode titled "A New Day" is available now for $5; while the next episode (Starved for Help) will be available next month.

Congats, Telltale, and here's to more zombie heads getting blown off.
