Find Your Cyber-self in Quantum Replica

August 2, 2016 by Nick Monroe

“HIDE IN TIME”

Quantum Replica is part stealth, part metroidvania. It’s a game where the protagonist’s main mission is to find himself. Check out the trailer below, put out by the developers at ON3D studios, and the 1C publishing company.

You’re an unknown force that was able to invade a futuristic city, controlled by an omniscient AI that sees all as it keeps the area operational. You have no memory of your past, but you think the only way to find answers is by exploring this cityscape.

“Working on Quantum Replica is a challenge, because our game location and atmosphere were inspired by some of the great works of movie and gaming history. We’re crafting a specific feel for the game while injecting new ideas into it, mainly into the gameplay mechanics. Seeing the two come together is very rewarding,” said Jaime Castilla of ON3D Studios.

This task isn’t made easy, as you have to deal with security forces that have just made you their priority. Your key to besting these opponents is your capabilities to manipulate time. Your skills shall improve as you dig deeper into this concrete jungle, and you’ll need to hack your way into the city systems at points in order to jump in even further. The entire city is comprised of 5 different zones, each packed with bosses that will put your cyber skills to the test.

Quantum Replica will be available in Q1 2017 for PC, Mac, and Linux, and Q2 2017 for PS4 and Xbox One.
