Silent Hill: Book of Memories Possibly Delayed

May 14, 2012 by Jacob Saylor

The popular Silent Hill franchise, known for its suspenseful scares and slow-burn horror, may be seeing a pretty major delay in the next few days. Silent Hill: Book of Memories is the purported victim.

While many retailers maintain that the game will see a May 22nd, 2012 release, Amazon notes a different one: October 2012.

This would not be surprising, as the media has been a little too quiet concerning the game and its content. Generally, as you draw closer to a game’s release date, hype begins to build.

All that said, the gaming industry has seen a huge series of delays across a wide number of platforms this year and last. It is getting to the point where customers expect quality, and developers are hard-pressed to give them anything less. While it creates a sort of “jam,” I would say it is for the better.
