You want a platformer game with adorable robots? Then you’ll enjoy Shiny when it comes out at the end of August. The trailer the developers uploaded gives off that bit of a WALL-E vibe. It’s a cute game, with no guts or gore in sight.
The robot workers on the planet Aurora are left behind. All the humans left in order to avoid their demise with Aurora scheduled to crash into the sun. A lone robot named Kramer 227 sets forth to gather up his friends and find a way off the doomed rock.
Kramer 227 is on an energy harvest mission. The game is a straight up platformer that’ll take you across 20 different levels. Speaking of levels, you need to keep energy levels in check to make sure your robot doesn’t run out of power. Throughout the adventure, Kramer will find power-ups such as temperature regulators, jetpacks, and energy spheres to help him along.
