Batman: The Telltale Series is just around the corner, and Telltale has decided to reveal something brand new that we will get to experience for the first time in the studios’ point-and-click adventures.
Telltale’s Head of Creative Communications Job Stauffer was present at San Diego Comic Con, and sat down with Shacknews, to reveal a unique multiplayer mode called Crowd Play. This mode enables other people to hop in your game and help you make out decisions, allowing players to “play the game together.”
“We wanted a better way to integrate that audience. Now, from two to 2,000-plus people can help the player make decisions.”
“We are now turning all of Telltale’s games into a live interactive multiplayer experience.”
Once you turn on Crowd Play, you will be given a URL, which can be sent to your friends. Only those with a URL can join your game. In addition to that, there is two versions of this mode, one that lets people choose decisions for you, which means the choice with the highest percentage at the end of the voting wins, while the other gives the player the final call. Even if all the entire crowd chooses one of the four options, the player can choose an entirely different choice.
Batman: The Telltale Series releases for PS4, Xbox One and PC on August 2.
