Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 to End Xbox 360 Exclusivity (Report)

May 7, 2012 by Ian Miles Cheong

A report suggests that Black Ops 2 will put an end to platform exclusivity for DLCs.

YouTuber Tom Read has put together a video explaining how Black Ops 2's trailer, which was released last week, ends rather abruptly without any platform exclusivity logos as per the previous Call of Duty titles.

He leverages this fact to reason that the new Black Ops 2 will not have platform exclusivity for DLC on the Xbox 360 unlike the previous games.

Whether any of this is true is simply a matter of speculation, as neither Activision nor Treyarch have come out confirm or deny the report, but it makes sense given the 'evidence' (or lack thereof).

We hope it's true, as players on the PlayStation 3 and PC will certainly benefit from lack of exclusivity. Waiting a month for DLCs to come out doesn't seem very fair for anyone on the wrong platform.
