Family Guy: Back to the Multiverse coming later this year?

May 4, 2012 by Mat Growcott

Amazon have put up pages for the 360 and PS3 versions of a game called Family Guy: Back to the Multiverse. Of course, the games are yet to be formally announced.

While it's going to be very difficult to top the efforts of Obsidian and the folks at South Park this year, the team at Family Guy are going to be trying to give the RPG experts a run for their money. Not only can you play Family Guy Online (right now, in open beta) but at the end of the year Activision will be publishing another game in the series – a game we currently know nothing about.

Family Guy: Road to the Multiverse is the result of an announcement Activision made way back at the beginning of 2011, the announcement of a new game based on the Family Guy brand. Since the first attempt at bringing the series to the digital world was average at best, I'm not sure too many were holding their breath.

Still, with the pages up on Amazon, it's probably fair to think that there will be an announcement quite soon. Given Call of Duty's previous appearance on Family Guy, there's no doubt going to be plenty of references in Multiverse and perhaps even a whole level based around it.

For now though, we'll wait for the official announcement.
