Portal 2 Video: Perpetual Testing Initiative

April 27, 2012 by Jacob Saylor

Get ready to create!

Last night during Gametrailers TV "Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale" was announced. This created a huge influx of news concerning the game, and some of the other showings were shoved to the side.

Well, we all missed out on the announcement of an awesome DLC package coming from acclaimed developer Valve for their massively popular title Portal 2. It is called the "Perpetual Testing Initiatve," and offers players what can only be described as a "Forge for Portal." Given the Portal franchise's huge tendency to give players mind-bending puzzles, it will be amazing to see what the userbase thinks up. If some of the constructions over on LittleBigPlanet are any indication, this should be really cool.

Check out the cartoony video up above, and let us know what you think. We are extremely excited, as the level creation up until this point has been left mostly to Valve. While that is not necessarily a bad thing, this DLC will create a veritable universe of new content.
