The first project from an indie studio who call themselves Method to Madness is an episodic survival horror game called Dear Charlotte Episode 1. According to them, it takes inspiration from Silent Hill and Amnesia: The Dark Descent. Check out their announcement trailer for the game below.
“Your name is John. You wake up in a familiar world but something has changed. Your surroundings are toxic and you are only alive because of the hazmat suit you’re in. Your communicator beeps and you hear a familiar voice is heard on the other side. The voice tells you that he is your creator, and you must listen to him in order to stay alive.”
Dear Charlotte takes place in the Quantic Medical Research Facility, or what’s left of it anyway. An outbreak happens at the complex, and a mad scientist named Dr. Kremlin is fortunate enough to rescue you. As he guides your escape from the facility, you slowly begin to realize that Kremlin may have been the source of this mess in the first place.
