Developer Nightdive Studios is looking into bringing System Shock to the PS4 as well.
The game’s Kickstarter campaign launched earlier this week, and has raised more than $450,000 in its first 24 hours. System Shock originally released back in 1994, and received decent reviews all-around. The developer planned on bringing this “complete remake” to the Xbox One and PC only, but due to lots of requests to bring it to PS4, Creative Director Stephen Kick revealed they decided to begin talks with Sony on the matter.
“We’ve been listening to your requests and have started discussions with Sony regarding a PS4 release – at this stage we can’t confirm System Shock on PS4, but we will follow up with an announcement in the near future with more details.”
System Shock is expected to release late 2017. It would be nice to see this classic remaster come to the PS4 as well, so I hope Sony comes to terms with Nightdive Studios.
