We're about a month away from the final release of Rockstar Games' latest endeavor, Max Payne 3. In a move that should continue to stir what I assume is a very healthy interest amongst gamers, Rockstart is preparing a trilogy of prequel comic books to give more backstory to the game and further develop Max as a character.
The series is being co-written by Rockstar lead writer/co-founder, Dan Houser and Remedy's own Sam Lake; the creator of Max Payne, himself! What's more, it'll be free from digital comic retailers!
We're at a point where Grand Theft Auto makes so much money anything Rockstar does outside of that franchise could be considered a passion project. That's fine by me; Max Payne 3 looks phenomenal like Red Dead Redemption before it and these comics are sure to sweeten the deal.
