Soul Calibur iOS Adds Multiplayer

April 16, 2012 by Ron Taylor

Soul Calibur on the iOS has been updated with multiplayer modes.

Soul Calibur

Namco has updated their all-too-expensive iOS port of the first Soul Calibur to include multiplayer, reports Joystiq.

Those economically well-off enough that they can afford iOS games that cost more than ten dollars can compete against each other over a blue tooth connection (no online, sorry!).

If you have yet to get in on the action (I can't see why you would even consider, despite my love for Soul Calibur) the game is also "on sale" this week dropping from the standard asking price of 14.99 to 11.99. So, there's that.

You do what you want. I've said before charging anything more than $5 for an iOS game is silly, but I guess the people who will actually buy this at $15 make up for all the people who would've bought it at $5. I, for one, will be saving up for the $30 HD remake of Soul Calibur II on PSN/XBL.
