Titanfall 2 Single-Player Campaign “Isn’t Your Average Linear” Story

Respawn Entertainment has been revealing lots of new details regarding Titanfall 2, most noticeable is the DLC and any additional post-release content being available to everyone who owns the game.

During E3, CNET was able to sit down with one of the game’s developers and got some new details regarding the brand new campaign added to Titanfall 2.

“It really isn’t your average linear, for lack of a better word, corridor FPS. It’s not like you’re getting pulled through this series of explosions or people yelling at you. There’s going to be very quiet moments where you’re taking in a broad environment and you have to figure out how you’re going to traverse it.”

The developer also expressed Titanfall 2‘s Game Director vision for the campaign, since he wanted to “feel like a big swimming pool.”

“Steve [Fukuda, the game’s director] says he wants it to feel like a big swimming pool and in the pool are enemies… you’re diving in and out. You’re attacking from one angle, you’re getting out on this side, going around, coming back in, coming out.”

Titanfall 2 releases on October 28 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
