It's been awhile since we've heard anything of Resistance: Burning Skies for the PlayStation Vita. Developed by Nihilistic Software, the upcoming shooter now has a new trailer to showcase the game's competitive 8-player multiplayer mode on the PS Vita.
As previously mentioned, the multiplayer mode will support up to eight players online across six maps and three gameplay modes. The multiplayer is in addition to a full fledged single player campaign which tells a new story from the perspective of the human Resistance as they battle the Chimera.
The game makes use of the PS Vita's dual-analog control for proper shooting action and has been developed for the handheld console from the ground up. It is expected to be released on 29 May, 2012.
