Gaikai Launches Facebook App Beta

April 11, 2012 by Ron Taylor

Gaikai offers a ton of playable games that you won’t even need to own a console to play.

gaikai

Gaikai's growth continues today as they launch an application on Facebook. The app is in beta, but you can stream demos of The Witcher 2, Dead Rising 2, Saints Row: The Third and more.

After using OnLive to demo Batman: Arkham City on PC and Gaikai to try out Mass Effect 3 on the same platform, I have to say I though Gaikai was fantastic and even better than the admittedly solid OnLive. It's great to see the service expanding and I really hope beomg on Facebook helps it grow. Cutting out the hardware component of PC gaming makes it much easier to get into for everyone and as it becomes more popular, could really cut down on the arrogance and elitism that's stigmatic of that audience.

You can sign-up for the Gaikai app beta on Facebook now.
