Project X Zone Steps Out of Obscurity

April 10, 2012 by Jacob Saylor

The collaboration project finally comes out of the dark.

Project X Zone, the upcoming collaboration between Namco Bandai, Sega, and Capcom hit Famitsu earlier this week. News has been making the rounds this week of trademark filings that point to the game's platform of choice will be the 3DS, and now that has been confirmed.

Apart from this information, it has also been revealed that Project X Zone (which is actually the name of the game, surprisingly) will be a strategy RPG which features characters from the three developers mentioned earlier. These characters will team up in pairs to do battle in the game's fighting scenes.

We've got the list of characters you will be able to play and their pairings:

Capcom

Ryu & Ken (Street Fighter 0)

X and Zero (Mega Man)

Demitri and Dante (Darkstalkers and Devil May Cry)Chris and Jill (Resident Evil)

Sega

Pai and Akira (Virtua Fighter), Kurt and Riela (Valkyria Chronicles)
