Developer Lilith Ltd and publisher Team17 agreed to cancel Allison Road, P.T.’s spiritual successor.

The news of the cancellation came a few weeks ago, and the studio promised to release a statement explaining the situation in a couple of days. The statement was released a couple of days back, and honestly, it doesn’t clarify as to actually why the game was canceled.

It says the game was canceled as a result of “mutual agreement to end our collaboration on publishing Allison Road under Team17’s Games label.”

“After a long consideration between Team17 and ourselves, we have reached a mutual agreement to end our collaboration on publishing Allison Road under Team17’s Games label. Sometime[s] things pan out differently than expected as game development and publishing have so many layers of complexity… We’d like to especially thank everyone for their support through-out, it has and will always be appreciated.”

Now, we will just have to wait for another group of developers or even Hideo Kojima himself to revive P.T.. Will we ever see a similar game to P.T. or will this cancellation curse continue?
