Diablo III’s Demon Hunter Lets You Slay Demons Elegantly

April 2, 2012 by Ian Miles Cheong

The Demon Hunter class is new to Diablo III, and puts you in the role of a ranged killer.

A new tale of Diablo III reveals the origins of the Demon Hunter character. This new Blizzard cinematic, mostly made up of illustrations on parchment, explains how the Demon Hunter came to be.

The Demon Hunter is the survivor of a slaughter who witnessed the deaths of her family at the hands of Diablo's forces firsthand. She is adopted, and inducted into a mysterious organization of Demon Hunters sworn to rid the world of these monsters.

The rest of the trailer shows off the Demon Hunter's array of weaponry, skills, and explains her combat mechanics. Her attacks are fueled by Hatred, a form of rage that she draws from to perform special strikes. She can use a wide variety of traps, slow enemies, and take them out from afar.

The Demon Hunter is the rogue on PCP.
