We got to get a first look at Mass Effect: Andromeda from Bioware. Unfortunately, we only got a cinematic teaser rather than anything gameplay-related powered by the Frostbite 3 engine. However, what was shown was enough to get me excited. The game takes place in a whole new galaxy to explore, as the name clearly suggests. We will get to see new systems in Andromeda, new planets, alien wildlife and civilizations.
One of the most interesting things shown in this teaser was what seems to be a whole new Citadel. Maybe the inhabitants of Andromeda are in the same spot we’re in during the previous trilogy? We don’t really know. Also, right after that we get to meet a human who seemingly just woke up from some sort of a cryo-sleep state, and she just mutters “We made it”.
The game is expected to be released during Q1 2017 on PC, Xbox One and PS4.
