Dragon’s Crown Isn’t Cancelled Despite Reports

March 29, 2012 by Ian Miles Cheong

Despite reports to the contrary, Vanillaware’s Dragon’s Crown has not been cancelled.

Dragon's Crown

It's not very likely, but word has gotten around that Dragon's Crown has been canceled.

Those who preordered the game on Amazon.com took to Twitter and various gaming forums yesterday to express their fears about the game's release when they received cancellation notices in their inboxes from the online retailer.

The game's developer Vanillaware has spoken up to say that neither the PlayStation 3 nor PS Vita versions of Dragon's Crown have not been cancelled, and that reports of the game's death have been greatly exaggerated.

We have yet to hear a reason for why pre-orders were cancelled, but a delay in its release is not unlikely.

One of the game's illustrators Shigatake said on Twitter: "Regarding Dragon's Crown, although there are lots of rumors and conjecture, it’s still in development. Please wait patiently for an official update."
