The Witcher 2 Enhanced Edition Goes Gold, CD Projekt Says Something Big is Coming

March 29, 2012 by Ian Miles Cheong

As The Witcher 2 for the Xbox 360 has gone gold, its developer says it plans to announce something big next month.

Much of gaming news consists of announcements about future announcements. This bit of news isn’t too different, with an announcement from CD Projekt that they plan to announce “something truly extraordinary” in a couple of weeks on April 5th.

The studio, which develops the Witcher series of games and operates digital distribution platform GOG.com (Good Old Games) says they have something really big planned for that day.

“The game will be released in over two weeks, but I think we will surprise players in the following weeks. On the 5th of April we will host a conference and announce something truly extraordinary – so be sure to watch our live stream at 5 p.m. GMT that day.” Said Marcin Iwiński, joint-CEO pf CD Projekt RED.

The announcement came within CD Projekt’s announcement today that the Xbox 360 version of The Witcher 2: Enhanced Edition has finally gone gold.

You can expect to hear more details about the reveal when it happens.
