Starhawk Gets Splitscreen Co-Op and Competitive Action

March 22, 2012 by Ian Miles Cheong

Starhawk will let you play the game in splitscreen mode with a buddy or an imaginary friend.

Starhawk

If you dig splitscreen gaming (and who doesn't?) you'll get a kick out of knowing that Lightbox Interactive's upcoming game Starhawk will have support for it right out of the box.

The third-person shooter with base building elements will offer support for competitive and cooperative splitscreen play with support for two logins at once, so you can use your own PSN account while you're over at a friend's house. Player two won't earn any trophies, but you'll still get your experience saved.

If you ever get frustrated with the game, you can always take it out on him with the Dual Shock 3 controller. Those things are made of the same indestructible material Nokia 3310's are made out of.

Starhawk will be released on the PlayStation 3 on May 8th. I don't know about you, but I'll be picking this one up.

Thanks, Playstation Blog.
