Theatrhythm heading Westward

The Final Fantasy rhythm game will be on its way to the west in the summer.

It's the announcement many have been waiting for and some perhaps didn't expect: Final Fantasy Theatrhythm will be making its way to PAL and US territories on 3DS in the summer this year. Boasting over 70 classic songs spanning the series' 25 years, we'll also be getting the same DLC as players in Japan.

You can check out an English-language version of the official website, although there's not a lot there at the minute. In-game versions of some of your favourite characters are fun to look at for a moment, but there's no actual information about what to expect over the next few months. 

Having players tap and drag to the music, Theatrhythm is perhaps the most unlikely (but most welcome) addition to the music genre in recent months. Including both original scenes featuring some of your favourite characters, as well as scenes directly from the games they star in, Theatrhythm is an interesting mix of celebration and innovation.
