Rockstar managed to set up a special promotion with the NBA one day before GTA 6 launches.
As the NBA revealed on their website, the Miami Heat is celebrating the game’s launch for their scheduled game against the Milwaukee Bucks a day before.
The Bucks and Heat are playing on the Kaseya Center, November 18, 7 PM ET. The Kaseya Center itself will be rebranded for Vice City and the Heat will be wearing special uniforms for the occasion. The NBA also hints at ‘special activities’ and ‘unique game night activations’ during the game.
The Miami Heat’s online merchandise store has already launched a Vice City collection, with tons of ‘court culture’ apparel that would fit in your game. And Rockstar and the NBA aren’t even hiding that these are items that reflect apparel that you can see – and maybe even buy and wear – in the game.
These will probably go down better than Rockstar’s Goodtime State collector’s box, since it’s all practical gear, and they aren’t selling any single $ 400 items.
