Nintendo may still have another pleasant surprise waiting in the wings for us for this year, or the next one.
As shared by idocode01, who describes themselves as an iOS and web developer, a new Nintendo Switch Online applet has appeared for both the Switch and Switch 2.
The applet appears to be for a new event gift system, and will allow Nintendo to send multiple gifts at the same time. The idea is, when you are in the Nintendo Switch Online app and click on an event, a video will appear, followed by a notification that you received the gift.
That notification will come with a tone that idocode01 found, and a popup image, with the image idocode01 used being a green Luigi button. You can see the sample they made below.
We don’t know when Nintendo will start implementing this, or even what kinds of gifts they could share. It could be as mundane as more Platinum Points, or it could be links to games, even giveaways.
