Nintendo has revealed a surprising new accessory that will come with The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time this November.
Of course, we already expected the game to get some amiibo. The amiibo figures of Young Link and Young Zelda will allow you to use masks of these characters, as they appeared on the N64.
But producer Eiji Aonuma shared something special for The Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Nintendo Direct. In the middle of demonstrating The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, he pulled out a physical ocarina and played a real tune.
This tune then registered in his game, as if he played the in-game ocarina, to trigger the effect of the song that was played. This product appears to be exclusive to the Nintendo Store.
They’re calling it The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Playable Ocarina. On the side, Hori will also be releasing an Electric Ocarina of Time, which appears to have buttons and isn’t a real instrument.
We’re very curious to learn all the details on these ocarina, especially if you’ll really need to play these songs in tune.
