We have an unexpected update to a game that the fans themselves may have decided was already cancelled.
When Insomniac Games suffered that unfortunate ransomware leak, we found out that a Marvel’s Spider-Man spinoff starring Venom was part of their roadmap, alongside the upcoming Marvel’s Wolverine. Notably, Insomniac has yet to confirm this game is coming or that it’s in the works.
Last year, MAGG claimed that Marvel’s Venom was actually releasing this year, and Marvel’s Wolverine was moved to 2027. Then earlier this year, Miles Morales’ voice actor for the Marvel’s Spider-Man video games revealed that they were supposed to have a Venom game which even had DLC, but that was before the passing of respected Hollywood veteran Tony Todd, who voiced the symbiote.

Venom is very much still in development upon last check. As to when it’ll be announced, I don’t know.
This raises questions on how Insomniac and Sony will deal with Venom’s voice. But then again, Sony and Insomniac haven’t even officially revealed it yet.
Marvel’s Venom could still get cancelled so we wouldn’t hope for this release unless Sony makes it official.
