Nintendo has made a unique proposition for their fans – a real life reward for earning achievements.

Last June, Nintendo launched DK Challenge, a special event where fans can take on a set of challenges in classic Donkey Kong games in Switch Online, as well as by playing Donkey Kong Bananza.
Now, they have announced that if you can finish all these challenges, you can earn a 39 piece collectible card set, complete with custom case. Each card commemorates every DK Challenge that you have completed.
To be eligible to earn this reward, you will also need to have a MyNintendo account, and you already needed to have an active Switch Online account to play. If you’re only starting now, you have until September 1, 2026, to complete all these challenges and earn this card set.
This idea evokes how Activision gave away fabric patches to fans who mailed them proof they earned high scores on their Atari 2600 games. But we wonder if Nintendo could make this a permanent physical achievement system, maybe something they could tie to their amiibo.
