Kingdom Hearts 4 is releasing on all platforms in late 2027.

Following their D23 event, Square Enix made the official announcement on social media. One of the game’s directors, Tai Yasue, even gave his personal guarantee, saying:
…can confidently say and promise that it will launch in 2027. Schedule wise, development is very smooth. It’s not like an 80% or 90% thing, it’s a 100% thing.
Square Enix and Disney also released a new trailer, showing several scenarios:
- Sora entering the world of Disney’s Coco
- Sora in the realistic world of Quadratum, discovering Rikku was also there after the Heartless attack
- Mickey Mouse entering a 2.5D platforming adventure as he tries to figure out where Sora is
- Donald Duck and Goofy learning Sora isn’t in Hades’ underworld, and then catching up to Sora in Coco’s Land of the Dead
Of course, this is only the start of the reveals of what worlds Sora could enter, or what plot twists the story could take us now. Fans can already look forward to a year’s worth of reveals from Disney and Square Enix until release.
