We now have a big rumor on the next Pokémon game releases.

Shpeshal Nick Baker shared this claim on Twitter:
Currently, the ports of Pokémon Ruby/Emerald/Sapphire are planned for late September/October
Some fans seem to feel this rumor comes out of nowhere, and some even accuse Nick of making it up. Earlier this year, The Pokémon Company released Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen. Those games were not 1:1 recreations of the originals, as Game Freak and Creatures made changes to the ROMs.
One of those changes was that Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald were named in these games’ code. For those who don’t know, Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire released two years before Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen, so fans know this data was not in the original code.
Pokémon Emerald was released in September 2004 in Japan, while Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire came in November 2002. So The Pokémon Company may not be precious about anniversaries, and are more focused on scheduling these rereleases in the same development timeline as Pokémon Pokopia and Pokémon Winds and Waves.
