The Legend Of Zelda Movie has suddenly added some unexpected extra meaning to its pending release.

Deadline, reporting on casting for the film, claims that the recently departed Sam Neill is playing an undisclosed role in the movie. The veteran actor passed away of pneumonia last month.
Regarding claims this will be his last film role, we need to point out that he’s also slated to appear in Legendary Films’ Kong x Godzilla: Supernova a month before The Legend Of Zelda Movie, and a romantic comedy for Vertical called The Last Resort, which does not have a release date. There may be other still unannounced projects as well.
Other actors Deadline claims will be in the movie are Dichen Lachman, who will be playing Impa, Yvonne Strahovski, in an undsiclosed role, and Uli Latukefu, who apparently signed a multi-picture deal to play Ganondorf opposite Benjamin Evan Ainsworth and Bo Bragason.
Regardless, Sam’s appearance, which could be as huge as playing the King of Hyrule, or as minor as a humorous cameo, will be a huge honor added to Nintendo’s film legacy.
