Tomb Raider is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year.
The official Tomb Raider blog announced their plans for this celebration. We already know that Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis is coming later this year in collaboration with Amazon Game Studios and Flying Wild Hog.
There will also be a host of collaborations with multiple companies for Tomb Raider merch. Among the listed partners are 3rd party video game peripheral company 8BitDo and game studio Aspyr.
Aspyr is the same studio that made the remakes of Tomb Raider I-VI Remastered and Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition. This suggests that Aspyr may have another remaster coming up later this year.
This could be 2015’s Rise of the Tomb Raider, the sequel to Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition released in 2015. But then again, you’re more likely to hear Switch and Switch 2 users ask Aspyr to fix Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition first.
Tomb Raider is only one of many video game franchises celebrating a huge anniversary in 2026, and Amazon and Embracer has made it known they have huge plans for it.
