Rockstar has added a nice little deal to convince lapsed Grand Theft Auto Online players to log back in.

As reported by RockstarIntel, they’re offering a new special deal for Shark Cards.

What Are Grand Theft Auto Online’s Shark Cards?

The Shark Cards are in-game cash cards that function as microtransactions. You can buy one of these cards to get a set amount of GTA $. Of course, if you have a GTA+ subscription you get a little extra off the top too.

These are the current Shark Cards, with their value in GTA $, and of course, how much they cost in real money. For brevity we’ll only share US dollar costs here.

Tiger Shark

  • $ 4.99
  • GTA $ 250,000
  • GTA $ 287,500 with GTA+

Bull Shark

  • $ 9.99
  • GTA $ 600,000
  • GTA $ 690,000 with GTA+

Great White Shark

  • $ 19.99
  • GTA $ 1,500,000
  • GTA $ 1,725,000 with GTA+

Megalodon Shark

  • $ 99.99
  • GTA $ 10,000,000
  • GTA $ 11,500,00 with GTA+

Grand Theft Auto’s Shark Card Promo

Some of these Shark Cards will now come with even more GTA $. You’re getting a 40 % bonus of the original card’s value if you buy them before January 7, 2026, 11:59 PM ET.

RockstarIntel shared these examples for the cards that get added to the promo:

  • Great White Shark Card: $1,500,000 > $2,100,000 (600k Free)
  • Whale Shark Card: $4,250,000 > $5,950,000 (600k Free)
  • Megalodon Shark Card: $10,000,000 > $14,000,000 (4m Free)

Should You Buy Shark Cards If You’re Playing Grand Theft Auto Online For The Mansions?

Of course, this new promo was introduced just in time for the long-awaited mansions, coming in an update fans expect to arrive next month. Rockstar is also giving players nearly two months to enjoy these new rates.

Of course, there will be a lot of Grand Theft Auto Online players who have potentially millions, even billions of GTA $ stashed away after years of playing. This update is for those players who haven’t logged in that much playtime but want to make and enjoy mansion when they arrive in the game.

But as the old gamer saying goes, you control the buttons you press. In this case, we’re referring to the buttons to spend your real money for GTA $.

Grand Theft Auto Online is fully featured with tons of activities and ways to make GTA $ in-game. Please take this as a reminder that you, as a consumer, are responsible for your own purchases.

We trust that you can reasonably decide if you would rather play to earn GTA $ or spend to enjoy the rewards now. Or you could do both to get your mansions in the way you prefer.
