‘Mr. Wonderful’ Paul Orndorff’s family is celebrating his debut in WWE 2K25.

Paul Orndorff’s official Twitter account is run by his son, Travis Orndorff. Travis posted on his father’s behalf earlier today.

First, Travis shared this message:

On November 12, 2025, #WWE2K25 is nothing short of WONDERFUL.

I am forever grateful to @Ramon3MR, Navajowarrior2k (IG), and everyone at @WWEgames

for the craftsmanship, the care, and the quality.

You didn’t just raise the bar, you wrapped it in gold.

And very soon I will wrap my father’s waist in gold too.

Now be honest… on a scale from 1 to 10, how #1derful is the detail on that robe?

He also posted this message, which included a second image preview of Orndorff in-game.

How Wonderful Was Mr. Wonderful?

Paul Orndorff was already a veteran when he was active in professional wrestling from the 1980s through the 1990s. He was there for both the Rock’N Wrestling era and the nWo eras of wrestling, in WWF and WCW, respectively.

Orndorff is best known for fighting, teaming up, and then turning on Hulk Hogan, as one of the key feuds of WWF’s Rock’N Wrestling. And this explains why he is part of the Saturday Night’s Main Event pack.

Paul Orndorff and Saturday Night’s Main Event

Orndorff’s feud with Hogan lasted a full six months. While they didn’t headline a PPV, this feud was one of the most profitable and successful in the 1980s. A big part of that were the untaped house shows they fought in for months.

And then there was Saturday Night’s Main Event. They first clashed as the main event of Saturday Night’s Main Event VII, aired in October 1986. They then finished their feud in Saturday Night’s Main Event IX, aired in January 1987.

This was a steel cage match for Hogan’s WWF World Championship. The match ended with Hogan and Orndorff climb the steel cage and hit the floor at the same time.

Two referees declared each one of the victorious, only for the match to be deemed a draw. The match then restarted immediately, with Hogan delivering his leg drop to defend his championship and end the feud.

Paul Orndorff After Saturday Night’s Main Event

Sadly, this feud is also known for a regrettable mistake that Orndorff lived with for the rest of his life. After a major weightlifting injury, Orndorff had a serious injury in his right arm.

Orndorff decided to continue his feud with Hogan instead of taking surgery to fix it. And the price he paid for his fifteen minutes of fame was that arm.

He didn’t lose his arm, but it atrophied to the point that it became significantly smaller than the rest of his body. Orndorff took time off after but missed his opportunity to avoid this outcome.

Orndorff still kept wrestling afterwards. He had a second run in WCW, and then created an infamous urban legend for himself there.

Orndorff passed away in 2021 at the ripe age of 71. Today he is fondly remembered as one of Hogan’s greatest ring rivals, and a good family man.

And no less than Paul’s son Travis gave his thumbs up for fans to remember his beloved father in WWE 2K25.
