Classic games, brought to Life

March 14, 2012 by Mat Growcott

Remember when electronic games were relatively expensive and guarenteed three or even four minutes of fun? Thanks to the internet, you can relive those glory days again.

After reporting last week on the Gameboy Color emulator built into a website, along with a handful of hugely popular games, this one managed to surpass even that. An interactive collection of classic electronic games, as played for as much as twenty minutes by kids in the eighties.

As well as The Terminator, there's a collection of Game and Watch titles, other Tiger titles and rarer games you might not have heard of. If you have an hour to go through things like Donkey Kong, Zelda, Castle Adventure, Bartman: Avenger of Evil and Mickey and Donald, I greatly suggest you do.

The screen and sound effects are genuine, the buttons move as you push them and I feel ever so happy I never actually paid for these things. Even so, it's a slice of gaming history and the website, complete with almost 30 games, has been done so well that you just HAVE to check it out.
