Battlefield 6 Datamine Unveils Two Significantly Larger Maps

August 18, 2025 by Dennis Patrick

A map comparison was made to showcase just how vast these maps are.

Battlefield 6 is coming our way in just a few short months. That will hopefully deliver in a big way for some fans. However, if you were a fan of the series, then you might have already tried the game out. Over the past week, we saw two beta phases launch that gave some players a chance to try the game out. One complaint that we saw online is that players wanted a larger map experience. Fortunately, we know larger maps are coming to the game at launch.

With the Battlefield 6 betas, players were quick to chime in on how the maps felt way too small. Thankfully, it was a comment that was quickly addressed by Battlefield 6 lead producer, David Sirland. If you don’t recall, David took to X and replied to one comment, saying the maps were too small, claiming it was done on purpose.

The beta maps were chosen to make sure players were getting a faster-paced and action-packed combat experience. Meanwhile, they did confirm larger map sizes exist. Today, thanks to a datamine, we might have a look at how big these maps are.

Thanks to Insider Gaming, we’re learning that the 1BF datamine group uncovered two maps. Posted on X with a graphic to showcase the map comparison size, Battlefield Wire highlighted how Mirak Valley and Eastwood compare to the Siege of Cairo map. As you can see above, the maps are massively larger. That’s not all, either! It’s noted that Eastwood will see two new vehicles added into the mix, that being a golf cart and a boat.

Unfortunately, Eastwood is said to be a map that developers are holding off from releasing until the first season. Meanwhile, Mirak Valley should come at the launch of the game. Of course, none of this is official information right now, so you might want to take this as nothing more than a rumor for now.

Currently, Battlefield 6 is set to release on October 10, 2025. When the game releases, you’ll find it available for the PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S platforms.
