Information is scarce, but the revelation was discovered through the official Farcry Twitter, where the team stated: “We’ll have multiplayer information soon. Stay tuned.”
Furthermore, reports are coming in that Massive will be developing the “online universe” for the game. They will be “adding elements from the indie scene and social games.” It seems like with the prosperous year Indie games had in 2011 is paying off in dividends, not just through profit, but through industry trends.
Massive’s work encompasses many games, but most notably perhaps is that of the critically-acclaimed Assassin’s Creed: Revelations multiplayer. While they were not the sole team working on this portion of the game, they did lend a key hand in the development process.
