Rumor: Telltale Games Working With Influencers For The Wolf Among Us 2 Marketing Campaign [UPDATE]

July 4, 2025 by Dennis Patrick

News coming soon?

Update:

We’re starting to see reports that the influencer email campaign might be completely fake. As with the headline, take this report as nothing more than a rumor and not anything that’s officially happening. While eXtas1s has a following for their reports, it’s possible that they were duped as well. Of course, I’m sure some fans will be crossing their fingers that we’ll be hearing something official on this game sooner rather than later.

Original Story…

Telltale Games has quite a history. It had some very strong adventure games that fans enjoyed, with players mainly making narrative choices and going through QTEs. Likewise, the studio successfully showcased some games from established IPs, offering fans a new and unique storyline to follow. However, it all came to an end when the studio was forced to shut its doors. Fortunately, that didn’t last too long as it reopened with the promise of The Wolf Among Us 2 being one of the new games to come from the newly established team.

Following the 2013 release of The Wolf Among Us, fans have been eagerly awaiting the studio’s return with a sequel. Fortunately, it wasn’t too long after the initial game that the sequel was unveiled during the 2017 San Diego Comic-Con. However, it would be years before we saw much of anything for this game, and then, when Telltale Games shuttered, most lost hope that the story of Bigby Wolf would continue.

Of course, Telltale Games had a revival, and we know that this game is still in the works. While we’re still waiting for marketing to proceed with this game, a new rumor suggests that a new campaign might be in the plans soon. The news comes from eXtas1s on X, an industry insider with a strong following. From what the insider is suggesting, Telltale Games is already working with some influencers and media on a campaign for The Wolf Among Us 2.

It’s speculated that news may be forthcoming soon, with the marketing campaign expected to launch in October at the latest. That would be more than welcome with fans who are waiting to get their hands on this next chapter. We’re also wondering what the storyline might be, as it’s been ages since we first heard that the sequel was in the works.

Currently, although The Wolf Among Us 2 doesn’t have a release date, it’s expected to launch on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S platforms.
