In a compassionate gesture of gamer solidarity, GameInformer’s Joe Juba put together a 30 minute video of what the worst possible ending (barring Shepard’s death) looks like in Mass Effect 2. With Mass Effect 3 launching in just under three hours, the idea of running through the game with all but two supporting characters already dead strikes me as being utterly brilliant.
All of the worst decisions you could make for the final leg of ME2 is in there. Upgrade your ship even a little bit? Pssh! That costs money! Do only two loyalty missions throughout the whole game? Everyone else dies. Send the least-qualified person to handle a complex technical task? That’ll turn out just swell.
I’ll have to grab an appropriate ME2 savegame from MassEffect2Saves so I can try this myself.
