Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 blew fans away. While we knew about this game for a good while before it launched, most might have assumed it would be a typical AA release. Then you also had The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered drop just days before. However, the developers at Sandfall Interactive proved those assumptions wrong. Their debut title was released, capturing players’ attention.
Since its release, fans have been yearning for more. They don’t want to leave this world behind and are waiting for Sandfall Interactive to bring out DLC expansions. Where the storyline will go is anyone’s guess. However, what we do know is that the developers are not yet interested in releasing new DLC. Instead, they have been focusing on clearing out the bugs and further optimizing the game.
That’s what to expect with the new release of patch 1.3.0 mainly. Taking to Steam’s community page, the patch notes confirm that there were a ton of bug fixes. While not everything was showcased, it was noted that there were nearly 300 bug fixes. If you found the story mode to be a little demanding, new adjustments were made that increased the parry and dodge window by an additional 40% while reducing enemy damage by 10% to 50%.
Beyond that, from Act III onward, there are challenge modifiers. It’s noted that at flag checkpoints, players can now limit max player damage to 99,999 or 999,999, with multiple enemy HP anywhere from x2 to x100. Some additional adjustments were made to the system and settings. Audio can now be muted when the game is running in the background; improvements were made to joystick and mouse sensitivity. Likewise, you can now rename the file manually.
To wrap things up, there were also adjustments made to localization, which ranged from rolling credits updates, font size adjustments, and text corrections. You can find the full official patch notes below, as highlighted through the Steam community posts.
That said if you haven’t already picked up Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, the game is available right now on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S platforms.
